Educational Consulting

Understand what’s going on. Find practical ways forward.

When something isn’t working for your child, I can help you make sense of what may be getting in the way and figure out what to do next.

I bring 16 years of experience as an educator and particular expertise in neurodivergent learners. I’ll help you look beneath what you’re seeing, identify what your child may need, and find concrete strategies, supports, resources, and changes to try.

Many Ways I Can Help

  • Understand what’s getting in the way — what may be underneath the struggles you’re seeing.

  • Find strategies and supports that fit your child’s strengths, needs, and learning profile.

  • Navigate school — prepare for meetings, identify accommodations and supports, communicate with your child’s team, and advocate for meaningful changes. I can also attend school meetings with you locally in Chittenden County, Vermont.

  • Support your homeschool — troubleshoot what isn’t working, choose curricula and resources, find ways to build on your child’s strengths and interests, and create an approach that works for your child and family.

  • Explore educational options — including different schools, homeschooling, online learning, alternative programs, schedules, enrichment, and other possibilities.

  • Find the right resources — schools, programs, curricula, research, and other resources tailored to your child.

How It Works

We start with a conversation about your child and the questions you’re trying to answer. I’ll bring my experience, perspective, ideas, and resources to help you understand the situation more clearly and leave with practical next steps.

Consultations can be one-time or ongoing, depending on what you need.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can tell me what’s going on, learn how I might be able to help, and see if we’re a good fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Jessie was so warm and easy to connect with—for both me and my child. I came to her feeling unsure how to support my daughter, who was overwhelmed by school. Jessie’s insight and encouragement helped me advocate more confidently, communicate with our school, and take next steps to better understand my child’s sensory needs.”
